I leased my i3 Rex on 12/24 and today, 01/07, my AC stopped working. The production date of my i3 is November. Took it to the dealer and got a 3 series loaner. The AC was making a slight growling noise with no cold air coming out even at max AC setting in comfort mode. Anyone had this happen to them? I guess I will be hearing from the dealer soon but curious to know if anyone has had this issue with a late production (November) car. THX.

i had this issue twice, once back in May and in August. Both times they flashed a new software. Seems that there was a wrong system over pressure error stopping the AC to cool the cabin. Good news is that after the August update the error didn't come back anymore.

The dealer called me this afternoon and told me that the condenser was punctured. They are going to go and replace it at no charge (goodwill). I guess when I pick up my i3 which has less than 250 miles, I'm going to ask them how and where it was punctured as I didn't run over anything or nothing hit my car. Wonder if it came like that from the factory or it was damaged at the port. At least I know it's a hardware issue and not software.
