A way to disable the "Choose another EV forum" menu?

The automatic pop down menu banner at the top of the site is rather annoying when switching tabs. Any way to disable it or make it so you have to click it?

Agree that it would be useful to disable this feature.

It really gets in the way on safari. Most annoying as it stops the spelling correction working as the pop up correction sits under the EV banner.
