That's right. This i3 is basically like a brand new car; it got a brand new high voltage battery in 2023, and is getting a new compressor THIS YEAR. Given the newness, I'm letting her go for 13,500. The car has 145,000 miles on it, and drives perfectly and looks amazing. And with the new battery and compressor, you can drive it into the sunset for years and years.

I have a 2014 Rex, I bought it last summer and it came with its original window sticker. A relative stripper, it has only 3 options, and one of them is fast DC charging. So it was definitely available as an option that year.

Yeah, I used to own a barebones 2014 BEV, and even that one had DC charging. I don’t know how many shipped to the US without it, but my guess is very few, if any.

There are definitely some 2014 U.S. i3's without DC fast charging capability. I have seen some of them being offered for sale and some of their owners asking about upgrading their i3's to enable DC fast charging.

When we bought our 2014 U.S. BEV new, I didn't want to pay for DC fast charging because the only DC fast chargers on our island were CHAdeMO chargers at Nissan dealers. With such short distances to travel on our island, I thought that CCS DC fast chargers might never been installed. I thought that paying for this option would be a waste of money. All i3's in our dealers small remaining stock in November, 2014, had the DC fast charging option, so our i3 had it, and I'm happy that it did as it turned out.

The images of the paperwork that the seller provided make me think that you might need to have your own well-trafficked website to get such treatment, though if you were lucky, you might be able to pull it off yourself.
