    Catch back up with Hyundai

So for around £36k I can buy a Hyundai Kona with near 300 mile range, lots more tech than the i3, a bigger boot and a 5 year warranty! That is why I will not be buying another i3 as it is simply overpriced and lacks up to date tech.

    Key FOB battery

Using the key with the new battery still showed the warning when I went out this morning. However, I locked the car with the remote (instead of using comfort) on arrival and unlocked it again with the remote when I left and the warning has not come back!

    Key FOB battery

Just had the low battery warning come up on my key! I remember that the last time I had this when I changed the battery the warning did not go away until the next day. Strangely, both of my keys are showing the warning. I have changed the battery in one key and the warning has again remained...

    Key FOB battery

When my car tells me the key fob battery needs changing i have always used it for days afterwards without a problem so did you ignore the warnings? I use the manual key in the fob that you remove as part of the battery changing procedure to open the fob - no screwdriver etc needed. See...

Any one here ordered a Tesla Model 3?

I ordered 1 about a year ago expecting to get it on late 2019 early 2020! That is why I have ordered an Ioniq EV for this Sep when my i3 lease ends. Could not warrant the expense of an i3. Too much money for too few miles.

    i3 Recall

I find it very disconcerting that BMW want to install new software without being able to tell us what is being changed!

Stop sale affecting used i3 pricing?

Don’y forget the Hyundai Ioniq - greater range, more tech and comfort inc (leather seats/heated steering wheel ect) and only around £25K!

    Key Cloning

Yes a tin with a lid works perfectly well and you can test it exactly as you surmised.

Clunking noise when going over bumps

If its under warranty take it back to the dealer. Not noticed this on my i3.

LOTS of issues w/ '14 REX

It is possibly the 12v battery that has degraded/discharged as this throws up lots of spurious faults.

Buying a REX 360 miles away. Can I just drive it home?

REX range changes in the same way the GOM does as it depends on your driving style.

New recall for "marginal front crash result"?

This was posted in the Facebook group - If any of you have heard reports that BMW have put a voluntary recall on all i3s (plural) in the US it is true. This is to do with the fact that you don't have to wear a seat belt in the US. Unbelievable in the 21st Century. It's voluntary not compulsory...

    Driver-Side Door Will Not Open

Had the same problem on the passenger side door. Ignored it for a few days and then all was well again.

    Tips fo cleaning the cloth?

I have used ‘wet wipes’ and standard upholstery cleaner with success and no problems. That said I do find that the seats mark very easily and am disappointed with them. Would never have cloth seats again!

    Engine Check Light

Asked as mine comes on if I use the REX for a long time. Seems to be associated with condensation and the light disappears after the engine has cooled down.

    Engine Check Light

Did you use the REX just before the light came back on?
