    Activating LIM button in i3s

I asked the BimmerCode developer if he could add access to the SAS module in a future update. Will advise if I hear anything.

    Preconditioning without ConnectedDrive?

What happens if you change 30D0 > "RC_DEFAULT_IDG_4TH_BUTTON_LONG" to "werte 07 = precondition cabin"? Fairly sure the default fob button settings are: 1st = unlock doors 2nd: lock doors 3rd: unlock frunk (2014 model year) or trunk (later MYs) 4th: alarm (U.S.) or ♢ (programmable in rest of world)

    Activating LIM button in i3s

So it looks as if forum member "randomx" over on bimmerpost.com figured out how to configure the SET button on the i3's steering wheel to function as a speed limiter, or LIM. The settings appear to be in the SAS module. Unfortunately, I don't think it is writeable with the easy-to-use...

Greg, I fixed the URLs of the install photos, so you should be able to see the photos now. Sorry for the delayed reply.

    Preconditioning without ConnectedDrive?

With the key fob, I used Bimmercode to re-assign the long press of its fourth button — the one with the red triangle in the U.S. market — to cabin preconditioning. This automatically makes the interior cool in hot weather and warm in cold weather. In the module BDC_Body, search for ... 30D0 >...

    Rear-Fog Switch Retrofit (U.S. i3s)

No, I did not find the setting to change bulb 7. I suspect it's in the BDC_BODY module, along with the other tail light settings.

Install a Level 2 EVSE, and, when it comes to maximizing range, remember the three Ts : technique, temperature and terrain.

    Planning a long trip

I would imagine if you stayed close to I-40, there would always be gasoline within reach. For the electron option, Plugshare's trip planner is a good resource in the U.S. Unfortunately, there aren't any useful DC charging stations on your route. That'd be a long trip via L2 charging.

Sounds like the A/C compressor. They all do that.

    Wheel size versus boot/trunk size

I've used the BMW Wheel Jack set in alohart's link above to swap the i3's summer and winter tires for two seasons — no problems.

i3 Coding Screws up Wireless Internet "Connected Drive"

Among the items in your coding list, start with the most important change, code it to your desired setting, and then check the operation of ConnectedDrive. Then go down the list. Rinse and repeat. ;)

Maybe a problem, missing a part I think

I think I had the same question a while back. http://www.mybmwi3.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=10&t=2411&p=22150#p22150 I ended up putting a wheel pin in the hole for swapping the winter tires.
