Delivery brought forward a month now delayed by 6 months

@mark1 - No no Suite/leather - went for Loft in the end. @elptex, I'm abbreviating at that step, It actually went "the good news is your production been brought forward. It will be made in September for Oct delivery...", then when the date got nearer it was "oh yes, it's unusual that it's...

Delivery brought forward a month now delayed by 6 months

Here's the chronology 1. Ordered April '14 - told to expect delivery (to UK) November '14 2. Last week in August '14 dealer said "Your car has gone in to pre production and is status 1200." - told to expect delivery early October - happy 3. 2nd week in October, dealer said "your car and 3-4...

    Dash Cam Recommendations?

Innovv C3 is good because you can thread just the camera part, and hide the control part in the glove box for a more discreet installation, and it's not exposed to radiant heat from the sun. It has connecting leads for an auxiliary input into the screen and can be wired for 5v USB. I've got one...

    Wood Dash Panels

Hi, nice job. My dealer said BMW told them it was not possible to order the parts. How did you go about it?

How small a space can the automatic parking cope with?

hmmmm, Looks like more than 22"in that example [thanks]. The conundrum is whether it's worth paying for a gadget that does something you can do easily vs paying for gadget that makes something tricky a lot easier. That space looks really easy.

How small a space can the automatic parking cope with?

In considering whether to add the automatic parking gizmo to the spec, I'm wondering whether the system is quite conservative, or can work magic? What's the tightest space it can get into? Is this specified somewhere in terms of the total length of the space or room front and back? Or...

    Which Tyres

Thanks, I just found this Bridgestone PR

    Which Tyres

Hi Which tyres have yours been delivered with? Given there can be big differences in rolling resistance, noise, etc. I think I'm right in thinking the standard wheels have 155/70 R19 all round, but the "turbine-spoke style 428" have different widths; 155/70 19" on the front and 175/60 19" on...

No Sunroof in the US: Confirmed

Hi - Would you mind taking a couple of pictures (I'm trying to visualise what you mean by pillars and retraction)? Thanks

Be careful of salesperson misinformation about the i3

Referring to a sales guy who is able to freely spout rubbish "professional" must surely highlight some kind of transatlantic warp of interpretation of the English language. It's one thing not to know about the product you're selling, but it's quite anther to make stuff up/guess/speculate...

    Adaptive LED headlights

Yeah the guy in the showroom said they were "adaptive in tone", not in direction... Ok...right....

    Another "confused about cables" thread

Thanks for clarifying - no need to buy a 'locking cable' then

    Another "confused about cables" thread

Hi could you shed light on the 'locking facility' - how does it work?, how secure? how bulky? any pictures? Thanks

    [UK] Dealer added costs

Thanks for the info. I'm what BMW's 165GBPP public charging cable option is like compared with 3rd party cables - do any prevent theft? (can't see that referenced in the other threads here)

    [UK] Dealer added costs

It's shame you have to carry around cables. Does anyone have a photo of how much boot space they take up? Does it mean we'll need two cables for the DC and non DC charge points?

    [UK] Dealer added costs

Yes I know what the reg cost is. My wife's last car (alfa) had 5 years servicing 'free' as did the quote she just got on an Audi A1. The cost seems high to me given they shouldn't need much servicing...? But I haven't put too much thought into it. Any ideas on the cable?
