US buyers how much is your monthly payment for an i3
Either lease or finance? how much are you putting down and monthly payment

Nobody in the US has yet to sit down to talk turkey with the dealer, but my monthly payment will be close to $1,039.32 for an i3 REX with every available option, including 20" wheels. Here's how it breaks down:

Purchase price $56,025
State Tax $3,642
Total $59,667

Zero down Credit Union 60 month loan @ 1.75% = $1,039.32 per month

I'll forego BMW's very expensive 2.99% financing offer. While a guaranteed residual value to return the car down the road seems comforting, it costs an additional $32.55 per month, which adds up to $1,953 over 5 years. I'll almost certainly be owning this car for 10 or more years, so I'd rather keep that money in my pocket.

Before you gasp too hard, remember that your Uncle will be giving you $7,500 free money next April, and that you will be saving roughly $10,000 in fuel costs compared to a similarly capable gas vehicle over 100,000 miles of driving. A fair comparison would therefore be to a gasoline powered car selling for $38,525, and frankly, there is nothing even remotely comparable to a fully loaded i3 in this price range.

My i3 REx with some options ($51,225 MSRP) will run somewhere in the $525-775 range based on the 60-month Owner's Choice (25-28% residual) / Owner's Choice with Flex plan (25-28% residual plus $7,500) including 4% Virginia tax and no money down.

It will depend on whether I choose a launch car with Giga World (will find out tomorrow or Tues what exactly is available) or build my own and whether or not I trade in my MINI.

$55 k and change TOTAL cost (before incentives, after state tax, etc. Putting $23.5k down for about $565 monthly payment. Sold the older LandRover for the down payment. Living off my bike and shared 328i until delivery. I work at home 100% so every week delay is a bit more saving for me. I got Terra with everything but the 20" wheels.

Fully loaded orange REX but with standard Tera wheels (I actually like their design better than the 20"), on a 10,000 miles/year, 2 year Owner's choice with Flex:
$15000 down
$210/mo. x 24 month (costs me same just for gasoline now)
$7500 + $30000 balloon payment after 2 years to keep the car, or $7500 to return it. The $7500 is the tax credit so it does not affect me.
The way I look at it: $15000 to drive a nice, new car for 2 years, and $30,000 to buy a low mileage, nice 2 years old used car.
If I keep the car, it will be $50,000 - $4800 gas savings = $45,200 including interest (there is no sales tax on it).
Level 2 charger and installation are extra (~$800 for a Juice unit).

:p
