Love my new i3, but in the month I've had it, on at least six separate occasions my seat belt has gotten jammed while retracting because it folded over on itself. It takes some work to get it free again. Yesterday this happened twice.

Aside from being very careful to watch as it retracts to make sure it doesn't get folded, is there anything else that can be done? I'm handling the seat belt the same way I have in various cars for decades--not sure why this is the first car where I've had this problem....

Thanks,

Rich

This happened to me a bunch of times when I first got the vehicle. I've been trying to make sure the seatbelt coupler is at the bottom of the door/belt when I open and close the door and haven't had this problem for a long time. I've seen others complain about this so it seems like a design flaw or the belt opening is over tolerance.
