Hi all, picked up my BEV i3 last Thursday. Took my first road trip today. Had one good charging experience at a municipal complex, but then at two subsequent EVSE I got messages that I was charging at reduced power, despite being at max charge. ALSO: when my range went to 0, the car drove less than a mile!

Cool. Finally we have an accurate fuel gauge!

The problem with a fuel gauge that says zero but you can still drive for miles is that it trains us to expect to keep driving on no fuel.

That sounds excellent, a reliable 'fuel' gauge, it'll be my first in 45 years.

Sadly, the A/C stopped working two weeks ago. I brought it in to have the dealer fix that and address the reduced charging. While the fixed the A/C, the charging issue persists. They have had the car for 3 days, replaced a major part, but still not fixed.

Hi.. i had the same problem after they replaced my charge regulator. . The regulator has a factory mode which restricts charging... Once they disabled this through software it all worked fine. .. my local workshop didn't know about this and the car was fixed at Bracknell.

Thanks for the reply. Wonder if that's all it was. My dealer in NJ replaced the entire EME and now they are updating software directly from BMW NA because they say the update is not at the dealers yet.
