Non-Bosch Installation Services for BMW home charger

Can anyone point me to a link to provide to a licensed electrician (US) that details the specs and requirements to install the BMW home charger?

I am about to lease a 2015 i3 Rex, 24 mos 12K miles, w BMW home charger included. I assume the licensed electrician I use for other jobs at my house can do the installation more cheaply and quickly than Bosch but I want to confirm. I'm looking for specs to provide him in advance of the order but can't find them.

I just searched for a local electrician that was certified by the state.

It's not a hard job to do, and it has nothing specific to do with EVs.

They just need to install a 240v 40A circuit to where you want (which might require upgrading your main panel, which could be costly), with either the right plug, or hard wire it in for you. I found it was best to have the device on hand (my Siemens actually had a template for where to install the plug for proper mounting).

You might want to consider another product than the BMW home charger, though. It's kinda pricey.

Thx. This one is folded into the price of the lease (which is an attactive price overall) and the price doesn't change much w/o it. I can turn it in at the end of the 24 months when I'll have a better idea of whether I'm sticking w i3, moving to Tesla, going back to horse and buggy, whatever - so for this iteration I think I'll just use theirs.

Despite what they may tell you, they can apply the $1K incentive they're currently using for the charging station to the selling price of the car. You could then purchase a less expensive unit with more features separately.
