I carry my bike via a rear hitch. The bike blocks the stop lamps. So, I attached a trailer light bar to the bike carrier.

This works great for my other car as I was able to purchase a hitch wiring harness, which was plug/play.

From my Internet searches, the only hitch wiring harness for the i3 is a generic unit with passive connections that is extremely complex.

Is it correct that there is no wiring harness for a hitch on the i3?

The car is not rated for towing so there is no wiring harness for a hitch.

Does the bike block the lower (repeater) lights that are there only for when the tailgate is open? If they remain visible with the bike in place, it should (in theory) be quite simple to fool the car's electronics into thinking that the tailgate is open, enabling the lower lights. You will (I would think) get a warning on the dash showing the tailgate is open, though.
