hello all,

just picked up a '15 Rex white, tech package. so very excited. Got a terrific deal, $169 $0 down after california rebate and 7 MSDs, 30 months.

returned a '13 328i

want to enjoy this fully... thinking coding and tint should be first upgrades?

and anyone know a lighter socket/usb for underside the dash? the one I half doesn't go all the way in and doesn't work (although it does work in the lighter socket in the center console!) hmmm

this board helped me with my decision, so thanks!

Fantastic deal! I'm looking into purchasing as well here on the East Coast. Just for reference did that price include the $2,500 California rebate, and were the dealer/acquisition fees worked into the monthly payment?

I've heard of some owners getting the dealer to code their vehicle. I'm still curious if this voids the warranty if you do it on your own or if BMW just shrugs it off.

Enjoy your i3. The future is here.

Yes, did include the $2500 CA rebate, the $7500 fed. I paid ~3600 drive off including fees, registration, acquision, first month.

Will also get a CCA $500 discount. Sounds like it would void if you had dealer code, not sure.

other Q: what is the best app to find DC fast chargers? Is there one place? Or do I have to get charge point and the others separately?

BMW does have their own i app with a map but the app is only accessible for owners so I can't verify. I know the ChargeNow app lists all the DC fast chargers in the U.S. as far as I'm aware but if there are more networks that would be an interesting turn of events.

The ChargeNow app will do it for you. I assume you got 12 months of free charging at ChargeNow and EVgo locations? The EVgo will shut off after 30 minutes, which is usually enough for the i3, but if you need more, just unplug and start the process over again, you'll get another 30 minutes.

Enjoy!

yes, thanks! That worked. Salesman said I wouldn't get evgo, but he was wrong. Hook it up through the chargenow app!

thanks!
