Check Engine Light came on today first time. Vehicle Settings/Status says all systems okay.

When I called the dealer about the light, service advisor called it an "emergency", but then offered to let me drive the car in - about 40 miles.

Will driving the car damage it?

It's something that should be checked and repaired, but it is not dangerous to drive. If it were dangerous to drive, it would tell you to stop. It could be something as simple as the gas cap isn't tight on your REx's tank.

Isn't there also a fix for a CEL issue with Rexes? From what I've read it is not dangerous.

General consensus is that you can safely ignore the CEL and keep driving. Most likely causes are a faulty fuel pressure sensor (this was on early models), moisture in the fuel system (might be same as fuel pressure sensor issue), or a software fault (fixed by the March update). If it drives you crazy, then bring the car in, else ignore it.
