Will BMW offer modification parts for the or will they leave it up to aftermarket? Here's an example of what one a nice one could look like:

I know this might sound a bit bonkers but I'm considering a full custom from the get go.

None of the exteriors colours or interior combos would be my first choice if I had a free rein (which is disappointing) ..... I'll wait until I've seen all the standard cars in the flesh ..... but I've got my upholsterer and paint-man on standby......

Watch this space.......

I followed a Metallic Bronze / Chocolate M6 home this afternoon and I thought that would be a great colour for the i3.... with a Suite interior.

What do you think?

BMW Individual offer an amazing palate. Eventually it should be possible to special order any BMW color but it will very be expensive. Avus Blue anyone???

BMW typically limits color choices early in production and gradually opens up options.

One thing to consider is the exterior thermoplastic panels are not painted, they are the color you see all the way through. So if you paint them a different color and you get a scratch, you'll see the old color coming through.
They talked about this at the i3 premier and how it will not scratch easily but if you get a scratch it will be hardly noticeable because it's the same color all the way through.
