I got an email this week from my electricity supplier, Florida Power & Light, saying they are the sponsors for the Formula E race in Miami on March 14th. In that email was a contest for customers to register to win four tickets to the race. I decided not to enter because I would have to get the hold charge software to make the trip down there (I'm in Central Florida, north of Orlando) and the race is at 8am so I would either have to leave at a stupid time or get a hotel room. Too expensive.
Anyway, I looked it up and it looks pretty neat. They sound like slot cars and you can hear the crowds. I do not know what the term for the car that sits behind the cars in the starting grid is called, but they use an i3. And the safety car is pretty nice too.
Here is a race from 2014.
