Electron Charger is toast?

I just bought a nice 2017 i3 with REX. It came with what appears to be the original 110 Charger. It is a Lectron. However, it does not seem to work. I am getting flashing lights for Charging Fault and Power Fault. I have unplugged it several times. Also, it is not charging the car. Are these Lectrons junk and prone to failure? Is there something I should check in the car’s menu for charging? Thanks!

Probably a long shot: make sure that the outlet that you're using is properly grounded.

Didn’t work. Thanks. I bought it from a BMW dealer and did not test it. The car charged on the dealer’s level 2 chargers.

In that case the EVSE (the so called charger) is probably dead. You may ask for warranty from the dealer.

It was a Lectron charger. “Electron” was auto-correct. In any event it had an “Internal Error.” Bought a nice one on Amazon and things are working fine.
