I recently got the washer fluid low alert and sure enough was able to add more than a quart of fluid yesterday. Today, no warning until after I parked the car after a drive. Washer works well for front window and tank seems full enough, so am I looking at a fluid level sensor issue?

I always use the BMW concentrate diluted into distilled water, but I have had the car serviced a few times at the dealership in the last year. The recent warning popped up after I had used the washer fluid a fair amount, and I was able to add a lot.

Of course, this morning the rear washer spray has stopped working. Front still works and fluid level in tank remains as shown in photo. It has been chilly into the mid 30s overnight these last few nights, so maybe something's going on with that.

Perhaps I'll just replace the tank, pump, sensor to hopefully be done with it. I use the washer a fair amount.

And now that the car has warmed up in the sun a bit the rear washer works again and the front sprays more strongly but I am still getting the low washer fluid level warning. I wonder if some fluid that someone else added could be causing problems with sensor and pump in cold but above freezing weather.
