The short version.

My keyfob functions, ista recognises it to a degree...... a short while ago the doors could be opened remotely the ignition could be engaged but i had a fob battery low message. Skip forward an eme replacement and some remote wizardry to get it to function. I can now open the door with a key only and start the car with key next to the steering cowl. When, how and why it happened is beyond me.

Ista can see the key when next to the cowl and get all its info.

When removed from the cowl ista can see what buttons are being pressed etc so why does it not engage the car in the same way.

An additional bit of info is the EME is running *********540 and the car *******505 firmware so if i need to run any plans its unhappy.

Any help would be much appreciated

Possible cheap/free fix if fob batteries are good:
Disconnect HV in frunk.
Disconnect neg terminal from 12v battery for a minute.
Reconnect everything.

Thanks for the quick replies. The fob battery has been replaced and the 12v one too. Neither has made a difference. The car sees the fob ok see below. The one with the redacted bits is key next to cowl the others are with key in cab and buttons pressed.
