I have used BimmerCode to change the keyfob button uses, notably to change the trunk release to open the front trunk instead. But, I'd like to avoid confusing my wife too much, so would like to replace the keyfob with a 2014-style keyfob that shows the front trunk opening.But, of course, you can't reprogram a keyfob to a new car. So, next best thing - has anyone disassembled a keyfob sufficiently to know if it's even possible to swap the buttons while keeping the "electronics" intact?(Also, if anyone has a 2014 European key, that has the frunk graphic and also replaces the "PANIC" button with a diamond, that they're willing to part with, I would gladly buy that.)
