Hello were owners of a BMWi3 2016. We found this forum searching for help regarding our BMW i3 Drivetrain Malfunction alert. We would appreciate any help as were stranded trying to figure out why the car isn't starting. Were in the Denton/Dallas Tx area. Any recommendations that you have used personally will be helpful. You need to scan for diagnostic trouble codes (DTC's) using an OBD scanner that understands BMW's proprietary DTC's. The BimmerLink smartphone app that communicates with your i3 via an OBD to WiFi or Bluetooth adapter would be a good first step. Post these DTC's so that we might be able to make suggestions.
