I have the Momo 195/55r20 tires installed on the rear wheels of my 2017 i3 Rex (straight install with no spacers), and they ride as well as the Bridgestone Ecopias with no appreciable decrease in driving efficiency after 6 months of use. I keep them inflated at 40psi. I am hoping the tread on...
Yes. Based on my research when I was pricing new tires, the average price for the Ecopia 500 195 tires is now over $300 per tire. I installed that size on the rear wheels of my 2017 i3 Rex a couple of years ago when the prices were much lower.
This might be a shot in the dark, but did you fully reconnect the high voltage battery disconnect switch in the frunk after you installed the new 12 volt battery (assuming you disconnected it prior to battery installation)? Some people have had difficulties doing this after a 12 volt battery...
I am wondering if a USB to Audio Jack Adapter might work. Of course, it would require using the only USB port in the vehicle. I have seen such adapters on sale on Amazon.
If your car still has its original 12 volt battery, your problems may be caused by a 12 volt battery failure. They tend to fail within 4 or 5 years, and, when they do, the car becomes completely inoperable.
Removing the existing trim and installing the wood trim is pretty easy to do. Using basic auto trim tools, it took me about 10 minutes to complete the removal and installation. The YouTube video mentioned on this thread was very useful and informative.
Also, if a flat bed tow truck is not available, I would think that towing an i3 with one axle lifted and the other axle running on dolly skates would be acceptable.
The dark oak wood trim kit is no longer available to order through BMW North America, and it is currently in very short supply in the UK. I have placed several orders through a variety of online parts suppliers in the US and Europe, and all have been cancelled due to the wood trim pieces being...
Unfortunately, the new App, in its current configuration, does not include any E-drive driving efficiency statistics. Hopefully, BMW will make efficiency information available in the new App before it shuts down the ConnectedDrive App at the end of June.
UPDATE-- I am able to renew online the ConnectedDrive services for another 12 months for my 2017 i3 Rex. It looks like they have combined some of their service package offerings into a single ConnectedDrive package for my vehicle. One strange twist to the story is that I cannot renew the...
The standard tire setup for the BMW i3 Rex (non-S) is 155 tires on 5 inch wheels on the front and 175 tires on 5.5 inch wheels on the back. 5.5 inch wheels will NOT fit on the front without adding spacers.
The 195 size tires are standard on the rear wheels of the i3s Rex and the 175 size tires are standard on the front wheels of an i3s. So, I have installed the wider i3s tires on a i3.
Based on my experience, 175 tires will fit on the front 5.0 inch wheels with adequate clearance between the suspension parts and the inside tire walls.
I have installed 195/50r20 tires on the stock 430 rear wheels and 175/55r20 tires on the stock 430 front wheels with no spacers on any wheel. I own a 2017 i3 Rex.
I am going to answer my own question. I recently installed 175/55r20 Ecopia 500 tires on the 430 front wheels and 195/50r20 tires on the 430 rear wheels of my 2017 i3 Rex with no spacers on any wheel. This is the standard tire set used for the current version of the BMW i3s Rex. The installation...
The moral of the story from the video is that the only sure way to get CPO warranty coverage for any BMW (including the i3) is to purchase a CPO vehicle directly from a BMW dealer and not from a private party who previously bought it as a CPO vehicle from a BMW dealer. Although BMW has a...
I just read this post in the Facebook BMW i3 Worldwide Group.
Apparently, Mr. Dupre resides in the United States and recently called BMW after his ConnectedDrive services stopped working.

BMW just informed me that they will not renew my connected drive...
