    Disaterous inside tire wear

Surprise Surprise! I went to a secondary alignment company (D and E Alignment, Escondido CA) who did an elaborate alignment with weights inside the car to bring springs into spec for the alignment. (I think he said weights are required because the i3 doesn't have a camber adjustment. ) The...

    Disaterous inside tire wear

I don't understand any of that, which probably indicates I shouldn't pursue that option lol.

    Disaterous inside tire wear

Thanks for the lead to Tire Rack. Did you need wheel spacers to use this size? What size did you put on the front? Are you in US?

    Disaterous inside tire wear

I paid US$1143 for Bridgestone EP600 09mar2024. That included install, balance and road hazard warranty (I guess about $27/tire) at Discount Tire.

    Disaterous inside tire wear

Thank you for your input. I would be over joyed with 25k miles per set. All 4 have wear on inside. AFAIK Michelin e-prinacy are not available in USA. We are stuck with Bridgestone Ecopia 500 or 600. It's enough of a hassle and expense that I'm considering trading in for a Bolt.

    Disaterous inside tire wear

Your tire inflation is higher than mine. I keep it as posted on the door frame. 5.5m/kwh is really good. Maybe I'll try that. I only got about 10 or 12k on the last set of Bridgestones. I remember thinking it was costing about 10 cents per mile. That's why I got alignment with the latest set.

    Disaterous inside tire wear

Thank you, Alohart. Yes, I maintain correct pressure. I agree that mounting inside-out is not ideal but it's the only way I can extend the wear to any reasonable mileage right now. I did it on previous set and it handles fine for my moderate driving.

    Disaterous inside tire wear

Correct, it was not dealer. It was a shop recommended by Discount Tire.

    Disaterous inside tire wear

Thanks for your input. No range drop, about 4.3 mi/kwh consistently with old-man-driving in eco pro. I'm completely shocked.

    Disaterous inside tire wear

In March 2024 I bought 4 Bridgestone Ecopia 600's and promptly paid for an alignment. 2500 miles/3months later I'm already down to 3/32nd tread! Inside treads are wearing aggressively front and rear. Consequently, I paid Discount Tires to turn the tires inside out, swap then left to right...

Thank you for the link to the Launch scanner. Will this scanner code the Hold State Of Charge HSOC on the i3 REx without Bimmercode (for USA editions)?

    Check Engine Light on 2019 i3s :(

@alohart Thank you for your reply. The CEL disappeared after a couple of days sitting in the driveway. I'm not sure if it's because I opened and closed the gas cap.

    Check Engine Light on 2019 i3s :(

How has your i3 been since then? It is now 11may2024 and I'm dealing with a CEL on my 2017rex. No error codes on Bimmercode with Veep odb2 and also no error codes with Zmoon OBD2 Scanner Diagnostic Tool.

Potential Buyer with a few simple questions :)

I used to think the same about the sunroof getting very hot in summer (San Diego area). However, I have read about delamination problems on i3's with solid roofs. That sounds like a way bigger problem. 2017 REx 19" wheels Tera 75k miles as of 19jan2024
