    I do the same on longer trips but my battery always remains around 6-8% even on the motorway/interstate although I have noticed recently in the winter it can drop to 4%. I only use the REX once a month so not a big issue for me however I do understand the need for flexibility for longer journeys.

    I have always wondered about this as well - is it better for the scooter engine to fully delete and leave charge? I have left mine on the default setting - I assume this is on the basis that the car is designed as an electric car and that the REX is only to be used as a backup?

    I probably hadn't noticed it before as I hadn't used the Climatisation function until this very frosty winter! Still the point is the IOG is all working well for me now again after the blip late last year. I just trust it to control the charging overnight although I have seen the schedule...

    Octopus Go is working as before for me - the only known issue is that it will wipe out any pre-conditioning schedules that you have set up. So say you have a daily 0730 Climatisation schedule set up, the Octopus app will override that and switch it off as part of its control of the BMW app.

    I also had a unit fitted under the rear seat and reused the existing screen for Android Auto. I can recommend the people who did mine if you are in the Midlands or DIY if you are competent enough.

    Hi I had an independent 3rd party install android auto through a new MMI box on my i3 in the UK Midlands. Not a true upgrade as the system runs in parallel with the existing BMW system. Been really happy with it.
