Coding Anti-Dazzle and Variable Light Distribution

The prices of the FLE2 MAX aren't bad 120 euro but it gets expensive when looking at used good condition headlights from Germany. They are roughly 2k each. Reading in a 3 series thread it sounds like it is possible the MAX might not play well with the US lights when programmed for ECE due to the...

Coding Anti-Dazzle and Variable Light Distribution

I haven't dug too far into part numbers but there should be a LHD and RHD headlight for our car. I would assume the USDM headlights are a lower output from what I've been seeing looking at getting this system working on other US BMWs

Coding Anti-Dazzle and Variable Light Distribution

I think it was in the video but the i3 headlights are more segmented than matrix. What you're looking for is for the segments of the high beam to turn on and off. So far what you've described is what I see in my car that just has the simple coding done but I know for a face that all my car is...

I'm hoping this works after the other settings are made.

    Rear-Fog Switch Retrofit (U.S. i3s)

I'm happy to report the coding work on mine too. So excited to have rear fog lights

Cruise Control +/- button worn out

I think we got off topic a little. I had used the TJA video as a reference for getting to the switches for the ability to replace the cruise control wheel with the possibility of not removing the airbag. I haven't tried opening up my steering wheel yet as I haven't ordered the replacement parts.

Cruise Control +/- button worn out

Did you happen to take any pictures of removing the assembly?

Cruise Control +/- button worn out

I am having the same problem with mine now. What was the part number of the adjustment wheel? I could be wrong but is it even required to remove the air bag or could you get to the back of the switch board like in this video.

Coding Anti-Dazzle and Variable Light Distribution

After many nights driving my car with the programming to the body domain controller and having friends drive at me or ahead of me while talking to me on the phone it would appear there is more programming needed for full functionality. As I have said previously all the car is doing is putting...

Coding Anti-Dazzle and Variable Light Distribution

Looking into the programming for other models I guess there's a shop in California, I don't remember the name of, that might be able to do it. They work with a shop in Germany that can get the proper codes from BMW based on the car's VIN. Unless someone else has made progress I've given up as...

Coding Anti-Dazzle and Variable Light Distribution

Same experience as SSi3. When directly behind cars at close range my car will turn on all the segments blinding the car in front of me.

Coding Anti-Dazzle and Variable Light Distribution

Mine didn't have the cap in them. They are really easy to move, if you're applying enough force to snap it you're doing something wrong.

Coding Anti-Dazzle and Variable Light Distribution

I adjusted left to right alignment. My passenger side light was pointed too far left. When I was behind cars before I could see the high beam on them from the right headlight and now it isn't doing that. Watching it more driving home from work I can confirm my car is not making a tunnel for cars...

Coding Anti-Dazzle and Variable Light Distribution

Well I missed a lot. I do agree there is something we are missing however here's an update on my car, I got the time to adjust my headlights left to right per ECE standards. Tonight will be my first night with a lot of traffic but I think the tunnel is working correctly from the few cars I was...

Coding Anti-Dazzle and Variable Light Distribution

Check your alignment left to right of your low beam lights. I'd suggest looking at the ECE aiming standards. I've been working with mine and currently my car could be described as winking when I'm behind someone but it definitely turns on the full output way too close to a car. Mine has been...

Coding Anti-Dazzle and Variable Light Distribution

I'll definitely have to look at my computer again. When I selected I001_MIT_AFS it only changed the one line of it that also changes the 0X9c....... Codes So far one of my co workers was slaying that on the drive home last night one of my lights was bright and one wasn't. I may also not be...

Coding Anti-Dazzle and Variable Light Distribution

Interesting, I'll have to look at that again. Yes I have purchased the full version of BimmerCode for Android. The way I understood previous posts about the coding was only I001 is for the i3 and the other Fxxx is for other BMW models. In your screenshots there's multiple if the...

Coding Anti-Dazzle and Variable Light Distribution

Is this from BimmerCode? Mine wouldn't let me select multiple options in each control menu when I was changing the settings alohart listed. Do you currently have the system working on your car?

Coding Anti-Dazzle and Variable Light Distribution

I did the programming over the weekend and have been noticing my car appears to have a hard time with cars directly in front of it. I'm unsure if my headlights are aimed weird or if the system just isn't detecting cars. Is it possible there's a system calibration that is supposed to be done?
