Is the CPO warranty worth it?

After looking at the "What is not covered" list for the CPO warranty...it doesn't seem like that great of a value? http://cpo.bmwusa.com/Content/docs/BMWCPOWhatIsNotCovered.pdf It seems like it doesn't cover much of anything for this list: Especially if to add a 6th year is $2,500...

How much for adding a sixth year to the CPO warranty?

Greetings All, I was curious if those with 6 year CPO warranties, could chime in and let us know how roughly how much adding the 6th year was? I just got quoted $2,500 for adding a 6th year...seems a bit steep?

    2014 and batteries...

Hmm...is there a certain threshold of how many days one can go without the 12v completely draining? That first one looks to have gone through 8 batteries over the course of 3 years, perhaps that one is just a lemon...

    2014 and batteries...

Looking at the market for pre owned 2014s, I've noticed some have fairly short Carfax Service history reports, and some have really long Service history reports....most of those looking like battery/electrical issues (all of them had battery charged as a listed item of service), of those some of...

BMW has to hold on the i3s coming off lease until there is a solution for the recall?

Greetings All, I was curious if BMW has to hold all i3 lease returns until they find a solution to the current recall (the one if your 5% female who doesn't wear her seat belt)? They would not be able to auction them off as as-is vehicles that they normally do? If so, eventually when they do...

Are 2014 i3s with the updates and recalls handled just as reliable as 2015 and on?

Greetings All, The general consensus of various forums, seem to indicate to avoid the 2014 where possible. However, several have brought up the point that their 2014s have been trouble free after the software updates and recalls (ie motor bolt). Does anyone know if BMW changed anything during...

Understanding CPO warranty? -- It makes more sense to buy used than new?

The ones with Carfax Reports, dont show up as lemon buy backs... Perhaps the reason why their are many 2017s, 2016s and a whole of 2015s with very low mileage ... folks get them, try to enjoy them, then for whatever reason decide its not for them, then dump them in favor of the "conveniences"...

Understanding CPO warranty? -- It makes more sense to buy used than new?

Greetings All, Reviewing the CPO warranty for the i3 - it looks like it adds 2 years to the original warranty + 50,000 miles ontop of the original 50K miles warranty. So this would mean a CPO i3 - would have a 6 year, 100,000 mile warranty (from date originally sold)? Hypothetically speaking...

Anyone here using the portable Jesla EVSE? Is it worth it?

I'll echo Art - I love my Juicebox as well! I can fit it, various adapters, a 50' 12/3 extension cord and a 2 gallon fuel tank in the Frunk. The only con with it (that also applies to the Tesla UMC/Jesla) is that there is no way to set it for a lower amperage manually. with the Juicebox Pro...

    Long(ish) trip advice needed...

You could always get a splitter and leave it and the level 2 there, that way they don't have to unplug/replug anything - just have to remember while visiting, not to run the dryer and the charger at the same time....some splitters have gotten quite...

    Charging point

Seems like a lot of hoops to jump through just to be able to get an outlet near the parking space...This looks like it could be a very long, costly project? Perhaps it would be easier and more cost effective to have an exterior power outlet installed to the exterior of your home and either...

    Cargo box?

Thanks for chiming in! Did you install it yourself or have it done at a shop? If you did it yourself, how long did it take you? What would you say was the harder parts of the install? It look like removing the bumper and unplugging the parking sensors may be the hard part, requiring two...
