    WiFi OBD operation?

WIFI OBD devices tend to use more energy than BlueTooth OBD devices. My WIFI OBD dongle instructions tell me to always remove it when not in use. The BlueTooth ones may say you can leave it in because they use less energy. But BlueTooth range is less than WIFI range so your phone/computer...

    Drive unit noise - My15 Rex 54k

It has been almost 2 years now since you posted the noise. Can you tell us what it was and what was replaced?

    WiFi OBD operation?

I would think a WIFI radio (e.g., access point) would be better to replace the 3G cell radio, or an upgrade to the 4G cell radios that is in the later models. The upgrade may be the easiest to program in because there should already be code for it, but you are back at needing to activate...

12V (AUX 18L) new battery voltage shows 11.9V

I think the i3's engine microprocessor keeps track of voltage. An OBD2 reader may be able to read out the voltage being sensed by a sensor closer to the battery. That is probably a more accurate voltage measurement than what is being read by a voltmeter at the cigarette lighter.

12V (AUX 18L) new battery voltage shows 11.9V

If you are not measuring voltage directly at the terminals of the battery, you should expect lower numbers due to voltage drops under cables and terminals before your voltmeter can measure. You are not likely getting low resistive contact to your battery by using the cigarette lighter port...

Using Tesla Destination Chargers with an adapter for your i3?

I have not used these. But as I understand it, TESLA offers free charging on these Level 2 chargers. I can imagine others adding some sort of charging mechanism to the power supply so you can use their electricity.

2015 i3 with REX stuck in Park gear - 222C02 error

Do you have a volt meter (digital preferred) to measure the voltage of the battery? With (under load) and without headlights on. 12 volts is its nominal voltage, it is likely to be slightly higher without load. If you are below 11 volts with a slight load from the LED headlights, I would...

Rotten Eggs smells and a hot 12-volt battery

Well the high voltage battery is over 200 volts and the semiconductors in the car like a voltage of 12 volts or less. While the high voltage battery is turned off, the circuits in the car rely on the 12 volt battery to keep their state and to provide the accessories you like. The better...
