    Lowering springs for the i3?

I've only seen photos of one car with the H&R kit installed. If you're part of the FB group you can see the thread/discussion here: https://www.facebook.com/groups/BMWi3/permalink/839418212798708/

To all lease owners: Do you wish you had bought instead?

Yes, but if it's getting too close you can stop the procedure at any time. I'm not defending it - it shouldn't do this, but I wouldn't let it curb one of my wheels.

To all lease owners: Do you wish you had bought instead?

Do these policies typically cover minor cosmetic damage? Either way, it's much easier to just avoid scraping your wheels on a curb.

    Lowering springs for the i3?

It drops the car by 3/4" to 1". Very little impact on ride quality. There have been some comparison shots posted on the Facebook group.

    DC charging, how fast?

Yes, that's what we've found in our local testing as well - whether on a 50kW or 24kW unit, 92% is the magic point where there's no benefit over 7kW L2.

    Accident repairs

I agree, there's really no excuse for that type of delay.

    Accident repairs

Scratches can be repaired as easily as with any other car, but it sounds like the roof damage may be causing the delay. How bad was the damage to the roof?

    Tyre Damage Poll

We had a survey on Facebook with 300+ replies - the result was 15% of 20" owners had flats, 14% of 19" owners did. In other words, no significant difference. It will take quite a while for this thread to get anywhere near that sample size.... For those of you who have joined that group -...

THIS CAR SUCKS! - HAD IT 10 MONTHS, JUST GOT 42 MILES!

This number isn't a concern. If you get the recent software update, you should see a bump on the usable capacity of the battery. How much of a bump varies based on each car/battery. What's your lifetime efficiency (mi/kWh) number in the app?

THIS CAR SUCKS! - HAD IT 10 MONTHS, JUST GOT 42 MILES!

That's correct - if you're pressing the brake pedal, you're using the friction brakes. Thankfully the i3's brake pedal does not blend regen with hydraulic braking.

cruise control almost caused an accident. - correct post

After nearly 17K miles, I've never had it disable regular cruise control due to the collision avoidance system. Even in ACC, when the car has been "surprised" by another car slowing quickly in front of me, the car lights up the red car icon (collision warning) and beeps but keeps ACC engaged.

Good customer service vs BMW service

Kia listed specific dealers in the press release, if you want to take a look. I don't think they've published a per-unit schedule, but they've rolled them out quickly here in Atlanta. If you want to see some photos of i3s charging at Kia dealers, just set your filters appropriately inside...

Good customer service vs BMW service

Yep, ridiculous that BMW hasn't deployed more of these units..preferably at non-dealer locations.

Good customer service vs BMW service

You keep making this statement, and maybe you mean that BMW has no documented plans to roll out CCS DCFC infrastructure in Washington, but it's incorrect to say that there are none planned. Kia already announced plans to roll out 6 DCFCs in your state...

cruise control almost caused an accident. - correct post

Yes. Another way to verify - if you don't see the red car icon at the top/center of the instrument cluster when following another vehicle, then ACC is not activated. Standard cruise control should not be cutting out, regardless of sunlight/etc. I've used it for 60+ miles on some stretches of...

cruise control almost caused an accident. - correct post

Are you saying that regular cruise control is dropping out, not active cruise control? That shouldn't happen. If so, can you describe the process you're using to disable active cruise and put the car in regular cruise mode?

THIS CAR SUCKS! - HAD IT 10 MONTHS, JUST GOT 42 MILES!

How did you determine that you only had 42 miles of range? Without a defective high voltage battery, you can't average 3.9mi/kWh AND only get 42 miles of range - assuming you're not doing something else to drain the battery, like sitting in the car with the a/c running for hours.

The "whoop-whoop" is making me crazy!

Actually it is BMW, although the local dealer may not be helping as much as they could. Even contacting BMWNA directly results in inconsistent answers on this, despite the evidence provided by owners in the FB group who've had replacements.

BMW I3 -Most Dangerious Steering Of Any Car I've Owned!

Based on all the tax credits, which are the main contributor to this depreciation, it seems that you should've been able to predict this and do a lease or Owner's Choice so that you were insulated from the depreciation. Also, the government covered $7500 of that supposed $23K, and I'm sure that...
