    Recurrent for tracking battery health?

Has anyone linked Recurrent to their i3? I am curious if there is any phantom drain, and if the pinging wakes the car to start HVAC or any other effects. It seems like a great service.

Ran the REX for the first time....

2017 model here, the REx makes a quiet little putter. I can't hear it at highway speed. I do wish they made the REx robust enough for daily use, like the Chevy Volt. I am going on a 600 mile trip and slightly nervous (though the car has been thoroughly checked out).

DIY: Highbeam Headlamp Replacement / Upgrade

I installed these ones: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07NPMV1H5/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o05_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 They recommend the lights be aimed at 9:00 and 3:00. I find that the beam is bright, but aimed way too low, with the bulk of the light hitting the ground about 75 ft away...

    Hardwiring dashcam: ground terminal?

The grounding point that I chose did not work well. It kept losing the connection even after securing it with tape. Here is that grounding point mentioned by Mark in post #2. I had to slightly pop out the black panel to get the screwdriver at the torx screw. Works great!

    Bilstein B4 shocks & struts

This sounds like a great alternative to lowering springs, spacers, etc. for highway stability! Lastly, any harshness over very rough roads?

    Bilstein B4 shocks & struts

I have been toying with the idea of changing these out. Thanks for posting. Would you say that they improved stability at highway speed to the point where spacers/lowering/etc aren't necessary? Any negative changes to NVH? This looks like a great deal...

    Not getting notifications

Not getting notifications, or emails on replies to topics. I tried to change the notification settings by ticking each box. On clicking submit it says preferences were updated, but they are unticked when returning. Am I missing something?

Inner tire wear - need alignment or normal?

Just picked up an i3 REx and loving it so far. The tires are all 2/32 on the insides, 4/32 on the outsides. Is this considered normal for the car or does it need a better alignment?

    Seat Belt Pilling/Fraying?

Here's a photo of the seatbelt on my 2017. Also interested to know if this is a warranty item. The New Vehicle Limited Warranty has a 10 year warranty for the state of Kansas only.

    Comfort: 2014-2017 vs 2018+ ?

I've owned much faster EVs and am quite happy with the kick from the '17 i3 REx. At least, an improved suspension and roadholding ability would be higher on my list of upgrades. By the same token, I really like that the ride is fairly soft. Would the sport tune void the warranty?

    Hardwiring dashcam: ground terminal?

Thanks for that ! Didn't realize they had such a thorough manual. I used my multimeter and found that the post for the twist screws that hold the fusebox in place is an adequate ground. We'll see how this works out over time.

    Hardwiring dashcam: ground terminal?

I would like to hardwire my dashcam with parking mode. I believe there are switched, and constant power sources in the passenger footwell fusebox. Is there a good grounding location?

    Comfort: 2014-2017 vs 2018+ ?

Thanks for the replies! I just got the 2017 model and it feels exactly the same as the 2018. :)

    Comfort: 2014-2017 vs 2018+ ?

I ordered a 2017 REx on the strength of a weeklong test drive in a 2018 REx model. I was particularly impressed by the suspension's ability to isolate the cabin from the road. I just learned that the LCI update for 2018 was not only cosmetic but included some suspension and/or chassis updates...

Buying an i3 for a high school car??

LOL. I would have loved my own car as a teenager, let alone an all electric Leaf. I've always been curious why some parents want to buy flashy cars for their kids. Anyway, I vote Leaf. There is a lot to go wrong with an i3, especially being as it's made out of a carbon fiber composite...

    Sound proofing the motor sound?

This is extremely helpful, thank you. I wonder why the rear seats being down would help. The motor is under the rear trunk area, so if the seats were up they would provide more of a firewall between trunk and cabin. I wonder if the seats down seals a cavity between the base of the seats and...

    Sound proofing the motor sound?

I rented an i3 on Turo and truly enjoyed 500 miles in this wonderful car. Only complaint was the motor whine became wearing over time, even though it was very quiet. Has anyone ever sound proofed the i3 to reduce that sound even further?
