Well you were correct. Just validated that firsthand on my 2017 REX. I cannot comment much on the ride quality difference as I had 85k mile OEM units replaced, so of course these feel better. Car rides great, is well controlled through some of my favorite corners, and will feel better...

I've never hit this thermal protection where the throttle is limited in a 1 min autocross, but it sounds like it doesn't take more than a few minutes of track use to trigger it. Does anyone actually know what components are getting hot first and triggering it? Does running in roller mode help at...

Wish I could take it out when autocrossing, but other than that, love my REX too! People ask me about public charging stations in our area and I'm like, dunno, never used one. :D

Try it in roller mode! Lack of ABS is likely to send you back, but at least you could confirm that regen is the issue

I didn't read every word of this thread electronchaser, but I would be very curious if you see a difference putting the car in roller mode.

I'll just have to take your word for it, everything I've read says it makes the steering stiffer and further sharpens the throttle response.

So I understand the s shows more than 5% at say 60mph. But I bet that if you put it in Comfort, or Eco Pro, or Sport, and floor it at 60mph, the car will accelerate the same. There might be more lag at anything less than full throttle, and in Sport moving your foot a small distance does more...

Yes those are speeds in MPH. And while measuring time would be helpful, I *think* I can assume that if there was a delay, or the car was slower 0-10, then it wouldn't have caught up in the same distance, and would be going slower by the end. I'd be happy to repeat it with people and stopwatches...

Well sure, it's 5% more fasterer. But Sport or Comfort or Eco Pro on the same car is the same at full throttle.

Because that's the normal way to drive it! :lol:
