Finally arrived but with a few concerns..

The range shown for both the battery and for the ReX is calculated on your last trip driving efficiency, or on a longer trip, the most recent miles (25 miles or so I think?) plus, if you enter a destination, some account of your coming hills. If your car is fully charged (and your fuel tank...

    Ecotricity AC chargers

There are Ecotricity rapid CCS chargers along the M4 and at Sedgemoor, and Exeter on the M5. Once you're at Exeter there are ChargePoint Genie rapid CCS sites at Okehampton, Bodmin, St Austell, Newquay, Camborne and Hayle. www.ccs-map.eu I've never tried the Ecotricity Fast AC although I've...

    keeping to the speed limit

Just to clear up any confusion, I don't want the car to take me to the max speed I set - Drive Assist does that already and as has been said here, in some circumstances, that's too fast - the driver needs to be in control. So taking it from the driver being in control how do I get the car to...

    keeping to the speed limit

Drive Assist Plus displays the current speed limit on the screen. I can set Drive Assist Plus to go at any speed and it will do so unless the car in front goes slower. I would like to be able to set the car so that I can drive at any speed up to the current speed limit displayed on the...

    UK Discount

Silverous When you try one ask for a two-day test drive: you don't really get to appreciate the car in 30 minutes. There wasn't a problem with a two-day test when I was looking earlier this year. (I bought from Dick Lovett in Bristol and they were fantastic) For the test drive ask for the car...

    UK Discount

I bought my i3 cash. I discussed part exchange but the i-salesman said that the other part of their business would make an offer on my car as a purchase but it wouldn't be done as a trade-in; I sold it privately.

Hybrid electric drivers drive more electric miles.

A very interesting report appeared on Green Car Congress http://www.greencarcongress.com/2015/10/20151001-inl.html Cars and drivers studied were mostly Leafs and Volts but overall 130 million miles and 6 million charging events. Some interesting conclusions. Plug In EV private owners...

Varying Displayed Miles at Full Charge

It's most likely your driving style which it is learning. The prediction of mileage is based on your past drives so style, terrain/hills, short or long trips, speed, etc., all come to play. When fully charged you have four bars of charge and a battery of 18.8kWhrs. You'll learn over the...

when driving rex range changes and charge changes

The mileage shown is just the car's estimate. Once you've got used to driving the car you'll know whether you're likely to do 3.5, 4, 4.5 or 5miles/kWhr depending on what kind of journey you're planning. If the car is charged up then you have 18kWhrs x what you expect to achieve - 63, 72, 81...

    Impressions one year on

Driving it conservatively I have gotten as high as 6.1 miles per kwh. That should mean you would have a 'range' shown on your screen of 115 miles. Would be very interesting if you posted a picture of that. Best I've got on 'range' is 93 or 5 miles/kWhr. (Anyone know how to post a picture here?)

    DC charging, how fast?

I've monitored my last two DC Rapid Charges from Ecotricity up to 93%. Ambient air temperature about 15 degC. The car charges at 110amps until about 70% Charge - this is about 4% charge per minute. After 70% charge the rate of charging declines to about 2% charge per minute. It's...

A/C off but blowing cold air

In terms of A/C vs windows open, you might like this from Auto Express in 2008. http://www.autoexpress.co.uk/car-news/31861/mpg-mythbusters Open windows Here’s another piece of accepted wisdom for getting the most out of a tank of fuel; if you have the air- con off, you should open the windows...

After 6 months of REx, 95.8% of our journeys were electric

Jim Europe is 10.18 million sq km with 742m people USA is 9.86 million sq km with 319m people. I would agree with you that the individual countries that comprise Europe are smaller than the whole USA but equally most of the States that make up the USA are smaller than Europe.

After 6 months of REx, 95.8% of our journeys were electric

psquare - I agree with you absolutely. My ReX total miles 3526 of which 94% on electric. The 212 miles on petrol are down to two trips I make regularly where the CCS chargers are just a little too far apart but only just. With a couple more CCS chargers my petrol miles would be much lower...

A/C off but blowing cold air

OK. Same as mine. Just to check, if you are on EcoPro and turn temperature up on auto do you get heat? And do you get heat on Comfort setting?

A short vacation in an i3ReX covering 451 miles in a five da

A short vacation in an i3ReX covering 451 miles in a five days. One of the areas in the UK worst served by electric car charging is Devon but this is where we ventured in our i3Rex last week. When we bought the i3 it was after some considerable time spent thinking about whether this could be...

Mike S Very interesting. If I understand you correctly, in EcoPro your car will blow hot air?
