    Frunk bags?

Looks like in the UK, the Board Bag is £45. It says it protects against spray but the pictures don't show a cover. How does it seal?

    What Spec to Order?

In the UK, you'll regret not adding Rapid CCS charging and, I believe, it will significantly hit your residual.

Pictures of my new i3 and my first mod

Mine is a June 15 car and wheels point different ways on each side of the car. Anyone post a picture of a different arrangement?

Pictures of my new i3 and my first mod

Mine look like the picture posted above but from the other side of the car the wheels face the other way. The wheels aren't right and left handed; they're all the same so one side goes one way and the other side the other way.

    What Spec to Order?

If AndyUK means you are in the UK then definitely worth getting Rapid CCS charging; there are now lots of charging points available, most are free. Even for a ReX, you'll get the electric bug and want to charge instead of motor. I don't like sunroofs. I also didn't opt for leather - for me...

Tips and tricks you like about your i3

I've put a piece of non-slip mat (normally sold by yacht chandleries) into the centre binnacle under the nav display and I've also cut a small piece to go on the right side of the steering wheel (right hand drive) - great place for spec if you can stop them sliding around. such as this -...

A New i3 Rex owner with questions

You can buy an extra cup holder for the middle. Keeping lots of things in the vehicle is discouraged as the extra weight decreases range. With the armrest, the two door bins, the holder on the front bulkhead between the seats, and the trough on the dashboard (fit a non-slip mat between), I...

UK BMW ChargeNow / Chargemaster / Polar Instant

ChargeNow is introducing a monthly-fee business model but the old £20 annual subscription model (advertised by BMW and which many of us probably signed up for) remains in force together with its )different) charging costs. For those on the old Annual Fee scheme the charging costs are no longer...

So good i'm thinking of leasing a second i3...

If you would only use your current ReX for longer journeys then buy a good second hand BEV (without CCS) and use it just for local journeys. With new technology waiting for the next generation is an endless task.

    Cabin Noise

Is this "noise" in every i3? No. I can hear some background tyre noise, same as you get with every car but as the i3 has no engine noise it's a little more prominent.

BMW i talks about larger EV, increased i3 range in 2016

Some good points, Jim. It's quite interesting what the BMW R&D guy said last weekend - he said that the i3 battery size was what it was because that's what you could charge overnight at 10 amps. I guess, by next year, or certainly by 2019, most will have level 2 chargers which means home...

BMW i talks about larger EV, increased i3 range in 2016

Posted on BMWi3.blogspot.co.uk BMW CEO Harold Krueger in an interview with Die Zeit recently said this about the topic: “Battery cell technology continues to evolve. The range of the i3 will be increased in 2016. A further technological improvement is to be expected in three or four years...

BMW i talks about larger EV, increased i3 range in 2016

Munro said, on their teardown, that they would expect BMW to make money on more than 20,000 units.

Travelling to a UK i3 meet

Developing countries need to avoid a fossil fuel addiction: once they have it then it's there for 40 years - and we don't have that much time.
