    Coding the i3

This one setting is to 7liter and 6 is not listed. Also found out the restore option, it appears under each Menu item, for example inside Instrument Cluster OR head unit but not on the main/home page. It showed that values will set to factory settings. I did this and verified the values you...

    i3 with 57kWh battery

Thats an overkill for my needs! Hopefully 3rd party vendors will offer 40,60 or 80 kWhr packs.

    Ugh. More misfires. (Drivetrain error)

Thanks. It was 20F above freezing. What I do recall is that when Rex turned on I accelerated (was trying to reach home without burning any gas). Rex was on for couple or a few seconds and then appeared to have stopped on suddenly accelerating.

Question - Can BMW identify if the car has been ever been coded?

Tire issue is frustrating. Need help with spare options...

Absolutely! I keep both Tire patch and inflator pump in the frunk once learned here that i3 tires are rarely available the same day.

Tire issue is frustrating. Need help with spare options...

I kept the older ones, they are worthless anyways.. . It's just for situations that OP is unfortunately is in. One of the drawbacks of owning i3 Rex :(

    i3 with 57kWh battery

Well no need to replace full battery pack but maybe like model 3 mid range(battery pack with just 25%fewer cells or modules) , that way weight stays the same but the range goes up.

    i3 with 57kWh battery

I see, feel difference might not be noticeable in day to day driving! Maybe someone will retrofit tesla 3 battery before bmw offers battery upgrade! Personally I bought bmw i3 over Nissan leaf just because bmw i3 battery can be upgraded!

    i3 with 57kWh battery

Only 170lbs! Would that really affect handling. Driving with passengers in back seat ((350lbs) should affect more, would not it?

Tire issue is frustrating. Need help with spare options...

Yes, i kept one each. Costco put them in nice giant plastic bag so it was easier to bring it back home and now they are eating my attic space. Hope to never have to use them.

    i3 with 57kWh battery

Its disappointing BMW has not offered it yet, lot of folks would have been happy to upgrade for the longer range. Now that it has cooled down here in Houston, i3 range has dropped to 50ish miles; bigger battery would be a really nice. Maybe i3 REX can take the extra weight, should owners...

Same thing here. Rex failed to start, luckily I was only a mile away from home. Have to drop off the car at dealership next week. I have rarely used rex and its nuts that it stopped working; hate going to the dealership.

    Auto car wash, ok?

Yeah its a hassle but rear wiper is rarely used, i would not miss it if its gone!! :)

    Sim card?

4g alone would make the BMW connected app so much better!

    Auto car wash, ok?

I wash it once a month... no problems so far. I put the car on Neutral so parking senors go off! Lately folks at car wash have started to put a tape on the rear wiper blade and fold mirrors.

    Battery capacity issue

Try a different dealership. Send results to BMW directly. Check Battery Kappa under service menu. I have 2015 i3, the lowest range guesso-meter has shown is ~50 miles and that was due to driving to fast/hard. So if you dont live up on hill top and dont drive too fast up there, then the battery...
