There are plenty of i3s in the Bay Area. Why not just find the one that has the options you want? It's also likely to cost you less in both time and money.

Finding the right battery won't be enough if you need a special BMW diagnostic tool to "register" it with the car's computer, as mentioned above.

Which iPhone model and are you using an Apple OEM lightning cable? Make sure you try that first. I had no issues charging my 6S with Apple original Lightning cable on the USB port in the console.

I think an i3 would be a difficult only car for a family of 3. I also have a family of 3, but we have an ICE sedan besides the i3 that we can use.

I highly doubt the ChargeNow card is transferable between owners.
