    Speedometer recalibration?

Every BMW I have owned or driven in the last 15 years has done this exact same thing. Every Toyota I used to drive was also like this, although it was not quite as noticeable because they did not have Digital Speedometers, but when driving very long distances it became apparent while being...

Bored? Here's a good problem that needs an answer

Yet it is a current scenario for one owner on Reddit at the moment: That's a good pre-emptive maneuver but if that is not done in advance, what would you do?

Bored? Here's a good problem that needs an answer

I've not seen an answer to this yet anywhere so here goes: Scenario: Your 12v Battery is dead. Your car is locked The FOB won't work (requires 12v power in car) The physical key in the FOB also won't work. ( I think it still requires power) You can't get inside the car to change the 12v battery...

Question on coding Rex to turn on below 75% battery level.

Those are the only 2 things you need, but just "downloading" the app is not going to help you. You also need to pay for it if you have not already or it will just be in "demo" mode.

Unable to set radio stations, tune radio manually, or delete previous owner's stations

From iDrive console choose MENU: Now you are in the Main Menu and the screen should look like this: Now click SETTINGS, then you get to another screen of "settings" Ignore them and click the OPTION button on the Main Console: Now you get this screen. Scroll down to DELETE PERSONAL DATA:

Also- 2014-2016 models are no longer eligible to use the MYBMW app because the 3G modem in the car can no longer connect in the USA as 3G service was discontinued in February 2022. You bought a 10 year old BMW, don't expect it to act like a brand new car.

Unable to set radio stations, tune radio manually, or delete previous owner's stations

That's from the Owner's Manual You have to be in the Main Menu part of iDrive When you get to the SETTINGS part of iDrive you click the OPTIONS button which is just below the physical Round iDrive Button. Then you scroll down to find DELETE PERSONAL DATA I just went out to my car to test this.

Battery Health question when buying a used i3 as first time electric car buyer

BMW's "advertised" useable capacity is slightly de-rated from what it would have been when new. I am guessing it was actually around 39 when new but don't know for certain. For example: My car has the 94aH battery which has a Gross Rating of 33kWh. BMW's "advertised useable capacity" was...

Battery Health question when buying a used i3 as first time electric car buyer

BMW's advertised "useable capacity" for that battery is 37.9, so as far as warranty goes you are at 96%

Tesla Allowing CCS Charging at Superchargers!

No. And when they DO end up using NACS it will most likely ONLY be for new vehicles moving forward, not retroactively as it involves software update. Your Lectron Adapter will NOT work at ANY SuperCharger. Period. We can only use SuperChargers with Tesla's "Magic Dock" installed, which at...
