That part number is correct. The strip is attached with adhesive tape on the bottom. It does not seal much. It only fills a gap. $30 for a piece of rubber.

I would not put this on any part but the roof. Obviously the pattern is directional and if you are OCD it will drive u crazy. I don’t think its possible to install straight. But I love the color. And it is very thick stuff. Look much different inside vs outside. I really like the color.

I am inclined to believe the hardware is not the issue. Every bmw coding forum and everything I have contributed to this massive thread says the VO file must be changed in order to enable and add the specific coding items to add these features. it's the same for all other BMW coding features...

So just a quick update. Due to unforeseen circumstances with trying to put the new over the old, we had to take the old off. :mad: So I made a last minute change to what I am putting on. I'll take pics and post when it's done. Even if it looks like cheap plastic rattan furniture 😉
