    Speedometer recalibration?

As I understand it, this is not unique to Germany. I believe the permitted range is -0% to +10% within the whole of Europe (and the UK). Of course, they can get much, much more accurate than that for one specific make/size of tyre, with a known level of wear and a given tyre pressure - but...

Can I put 20x5.5 rims with 195-55R20 in all 4 corners on my 2019 i3 (rims are the front 20x5.5 from i3s models)?

I think the question was whether he could put rear wheels on the front, not rear tyres. IIRC the wheels are wider on the rear of an i3s (5.0 at the front, 5.5 at the back?). The question was asked 3 months ago, so perhaps Map40 already has the answer by now?

    Speedometer recalibration?

While I understand what you're saying, the truth is that "free" map updates are never free. You just pay more upfront, built into the cost of the device/car.

    Speedometer recalibration?

It's impossible to get complete accuracy, because roadspeed is still calculated on the basis of wheel rotations, so its accuracy will change as the tyres wear, and will also vary slightly by make/type. Most people would not want to have to recalibrate their speedo every time their tyres are...

Gear selector getting warm / hot

Checked mine today - yes, after a 40 minute drive, the body of the gear selector is quite warm - almost hot.

    Problem with SME Code

I think he means that he has modified the coding of the SME module in his car. But he doesn't know what he changed and so doesn't know how to revert to the factory coding.

    Problem with SME Code

If you don't know what you changed, I doubt it - that product doesn't have any auto-backup feature as far as I can see. And if you don't know what you changed, I'm not sure how anyone else could help you. However, if you were to buy a secondhand SME module from a US-spec car, it's very likely...

    Problem with SME Code

With the limited information provided, probably the quickest solution would be to trailer it to a BMW main dealer and ask them to restore the factory coding for the vehicle. If you want to do it any other way, it would probably be best to start by giving an idea where in the world you are...

    Need a part - 07119908004.

I can't visualise the setting, but there are probably alternative such as (maybe) a M6 x 20 Torx head bolt? If the location is suitable to get a Torx driver in. E.g. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/124471359752/ That was picked pretty much at random, but the head size is described unusually well in...

    Need a part - 07119908004.

Is it a standard metric bolt, with a "typical" head?

    Need a part - 07119908004.

I think the problem for small stuff like that is that more than half the cost will be shipping (trade places typically won't put a second class stamp on it and take it down to the Post Office for you) so the likely saving if you get a really good deal on the part is only likely to be maybe a...

    Charge to 80%?

Being an i3-specific forum, it has been asked and answered (with thoughts and opinions) many times here before. If you put "Charge to 80" in the search box you will find a lot of previous threads on the subject.

    Updating Maps

One thing it doesn't seem to like (on my car, at least) is if the drive is not completely empty, but if you have just formatted it to FAT32, it would be anyway. I guess the next thing I would try is "Update BMW services" (if that's the correct name for the option in iDrive that goes away and...

    Updating Maps

Can you confirm that you have 12V power at the "cigar lighter" outlet in the centre console/armrest area?

found a good source for wipers

In my experience, the test of cheap wiper blades isn't how they work a week or a month after you bought them - it's what they are like a year later. I've had cheap blades that are great for a month or two but simply don't hold up under sunlight.

Aircon working in the half of the car?

It's *probably* a fault with the air direction control flaps within the aircon system. These days they mostly have position sensors with feedback to the controller, so if you access the diagnostic data, it may well tell you what's wrong (but of course fixing it may be an entirely different...

    Adaptive cruise windscreen

I thought there was a thread on this only a few days ago? Perhaps it was on another forum, but the suggestion there was that TJA recognises the type of road (possibly from the number of lanes?) and only permits you to use it in the circumstances that you describe. Have you actually tried to...

    Adaptive cruise windscreen

Which of course makes it pre-LCI. I've yet to hear of a post-LCI European spec car with TJA. Perhaps it was a cost control change, but that seem unlikely, as most of the parts will still be there on a car with ACC. From what I can tell, only the steering wheel (including one module) is different.
